Of course, this never happens. The stimulation from the newest game or toy lasts for a very short period of time and in the end, very little comes of it.
The irony is, learning can be fun, a lot of fun! In fact, exploring science and how things work return children to the simplest pleasures in life. Nothing can provide a child with greater satisfaction than learning about things around them through a discovery based hands-on approach!
But I'm getting ahead of myself, allow me to make my introduction.
My name is John Robertson and I am a Canadian teacher and parent. I have been a teacher and parent for several years now and one thing I've learned to appreciate in teaching and raising children of my own is that all children need to be challenged and inspired to learn.
It is with this in mind that I have created an ebook entitled, "101 Science Experiments for Kids". My sole criteria for this book is based on 4 main principles...

Why?
It's important to understand that I wanted a book that would be a hit with kids! I didn't want just another book that was big on hype and short on delivery. Because of this, I spent a great deal of time planning and researching topics in science. It wasn't easy, in fact I was months doing it.
An effective teacher knows that children learn best when learning is fun. Students appreciate and enjoy it far more and gain a lot more from it. This is why I have carefully and methodically planned each experiment with kids in mind. The book is written in everyday language and to keep it "kid friendly", it is chalk-full of humour that kids can relate to!
Now I could have easily written a book that included literally hundreds of experiments, but quantity is not what I'm after here! Each experiment has been carefully selected and I can tell you from a teacher and parent's perspective, my experiments hit the mark! They're fun, cool, engaging and purposeful! I've searched the internet and I know that there is a lot out there on the topic of science experiments. There are literally millions of sites on the subject. So you're probably asking yourself, what makes my book special?
I was born and raised in Canada and I am currently a teacher with the second largest school board in Ontario. Education has been a fundamental part of my life, so much so that I even married a teacher! I understand the importance of education and the importance of finding strategies that will keep our children excited and involved about learning. I have and continue to devote my life to this cause.
My book, "101 Science Experiments for Kids" started out as a simple collection of experiments for use in my classroom. I soon realized that my experiments were really striking a cord with students and that the learning was transferring beyond the science curriculum, to language, math, music and the list goes on! You see, much of what children learn and do in these experiments merges into the other subject areas as well. Many of the concepts reach far beyond science!
